The short answer

What does a window tint marketing agency do?

A window tint marketing agency gets a tint shop found and chosen by the people already looking for tint, PPF and ceramic coating. In practice that is five jobs run together: a website built around the services the shop sells and the film brand it carries, Google search, the Google Business Profile and the map pack, the AI assistants people now ask for recommendations, and paid search. The sixth job is the one most agencies skip: counting real leads, so the owner can check every number against the phone.

Tristar Marketing Solutions does all six for window tint shops across the United States. We are based in Tennessee, we work month to month, and your accounts stay in your name.

Paid search

Do Google Ads work for window tint shops?

What does a window tint Google Ads management agency do? It builds the campaigns around the jobs the shop wants most (ceramic film, windshields, full cars, PPF and coating if the shop sells them), counts a lead only when a form lands or a call lasts 60 seconds, cuts the spend going to brand terms the shop already ranks for and to residential or commercial searches it does not want, reads the search terms every week, and reports cost per real lead in plain English. At Tint Guy LLC that took cost per form lead from $31.77 to $13.32 in three months on the same budget.

They do when the account counts real leads and spends on the jobs you want. Most tint accounts we see fail on the first part: phone taps, page views and old promotions counted as conversions, so the report looks fine while the phone stays quiet, and nobody can tell which campaign is paying.

Count real leads first

A form that lands on your side, or a call that lasts 60 seconds. Tint Guy LLC’s old account had eight phone-call conversions switched on at once. Fixing that came before any budget change.

Cut the waste

Tint Guy LLC was paying $154 to $169 a lead on one campaign and $4.55 a click on its own name. Both went. The money moved to automotive tint, PPF and ceramic coating, the work the shop wants most.

Price it against your ticket

A $250 dyed-film job and a $2,000 PPF front end cannot carry the same cost per lead. Each service gets its own campaign and its own ceiling, so a cheap lead on cheap work never hides an expensive one.

About $8.50 a lead

Tint Guy LLC, across calls and forms over 30 days, against a typical $50 to $90. That is one shop’s number, not a promise for yours, and we will tell you on the first call if your market looks different. What a click and a lead should cost, and the three leaks we cut first, are in window tint advertising: what a lead should cost.

Facebook and Instagram

Do Facebook and Instagram ads work for tint shops?

They can, but they work differently from Google. Nobody on Facebook is searching for tint, so the ad has to stop the right person mid-scroll, and the follow-up has to be fast. When we looked through Meta’s public Ad Library in October 2026, dozens of tint shops were running nearly the same ad: a “$289 lifetime warranty” special. An ad that sells the price brings the people shopping on price.

Ads that bring price shoppers

  • A flyer with a price on it
  • The same “lifetime warranty” special every shop runs
  • A form anyone can fill out without thinking
  • A call back tomorrow

Ads that bring buyers

  • Real video of your bay, your film going on and the finished car
  • The film by name and your review count
  • One qualifying question: the vehicle and the film they want
  • A text back inside five minutes

Tint Guy LLC’s lead form asks for year, make and model, so the shop knows the job before the phone rings. A Facebook lead was not looking for you yet, which is why it goes cold faster than a Google search lead.

Price shoppers

How does a tint shop stop getting price shoppers?

Stop leading with price, and show up where the customers who want good film make their decision. Price shoppers call every shop on a list. The customers who want ceramic film and a windshield search Google, read reviews, and call one of the first three shops they find on the map.

1,000+Google reviews, up from 483
34 of 49map points in the top 3
4 tiersof film, sold by name

That is Tint Guy LLC. The shop names its film and its four tiers, Good, Better, Best and Ultimate, the same names that are on the board in the shop, so a customer chooses a level before they call. Its review count does more selling than any discount, and it sits in the three spots Google shows above the map from most of town, which is where people who care about quality pick a shop.

Lead follow-up

How fast should a tint shop follow up on a lead?

Within minutes, by text. Text and email are not where leads come from; they are what turns the leads you already paid for into booked cars. This is the follow-up we run:

WhenWhat happens
Within 60 secondsA new website lead at Tint Guy LLC gets a text with their vehicle and a link to book, and the owner can reply from his own cell phone.
The day beforeBooked calls get a text asking them to reply 1 to confirm, with a link to pick a new time.
The morning of, if no replyOne text: keep your spot, or free it up for someone else?
One hour beforeA short reminder, again with the link to move it.
After a no-showOne friendly text with a link to rebook. Then nothing. Chasing makes a shop look desperate.
The map pack

How a tint shop gets into the Google Maps top 3

Tint is a nearby purchase. People search, look at the three shops on the map, read the reviews and call. We keep your Google Business Profile accurate (name, address, hours, services and categories that match the website), keep the reviews coming, and check the map every week from 49 points across town, so you can see which side of town you win and which side a closer shop takes.

At Tint Guy LLC the shop holds a top 3 spot from 34 to 37 of those 49 points for “window tint near me”, “car window tinting” and the city search, and the grid shows exactly where it still loses. The method, point by point, is in how a tint shop gets into the Google Maps top 3.

Reviews are the product

Why reviews decide which tint shop gets the call

Almost nobody can evaluate film quality before it is installed. They cannot see the difference between a cheap dyed film and a quality ceramic on your website. So they use the only proxy available: what other people said, how recently, and whether you answered.

This is why two shops with identical work can have completely different phone volume. One asks every customer for a review at the right moment and replies to all of them. The other means to and never does.

Tint Guy LLC had 483 Google reviews in December 2023, three months after we started, and passed 1,000 in September 2026. Most shops can fix their review flow faster than anything else on this page: ask after every install, at the moment the customer is happiest, and answer every review.

Three businesses, one shop

Automotive, residential and commercial window film are different markets

Most shops do all three and market only the first. That is leaving the profitable half of the business unrepresented.

Automotive

  • Fast decision, often same week
  • Proximity and reviews decide it
  • Ticket typically $150 to $900
  • Map pack is the main battlefield
  • Repeat business through the customer list

Residential and commercial

  • Researched decision over days or weeks
  • Buyers compare heat rejection, warranty, brand
  • Ticket typically $600 to several thousand
  • Content and search rankings decide it
  • Far less competition on these terms

The practical version: keep winning the map pack for automotive, and build real pages for home film and commercial security film. Those pages will get less traffic and make more money.

Commercial film is the most valuable click in the trade. In Google’s own estimates for October 2026, a search for commercial window tint costs about $19 a click against about $6 for window tint near me, because the job is worth that much more to the shop. On Full Shop we build the home and commercial film pages and count those leads on their own. On Multi-Bay, commercial film gets its own campaign and its own budget, so a $19 click is never judged against a $6 one.

Film dealers

Google Ads for window film dealers

If you are an authorized dealer for a film brand, you have a keyword set nobody else in your market can use honestly, and it is cheaper than the generic terms. It is also where most dealer budgets get wasted, because cheap clicks feel like progress.

Brand terms are cheap and thin

In the tint account we rebuilt, authorized-dealer brand terms cost $6 to $15 a click against $5 to $10 for generic tint terms. Cheaper, but the buying intent behind them is weaker: people searching a film brand are often researching the film, not booking an install.

Your own name is not a keyword you need to buy

That same account was paying $45.51 a lead on branded terms it already ranked first for, for free. Check yours before you add another campaign.

Where dealer terms do pay

Paired with the product page that actually answers the question: heat rejection numbers, warranty terms, what the film costs installed on the vehicles you see most. That page earns the click from the brand search and the organic traffic afterward.

How to compare window tint marketing agencies

Five questions. Ask us the same ones, and hold the answers against whoever else you are talking to.

What counts as a lead, and how many times is it counted?

Ask to see the conversion actions. In one tint account we took over, eight separate phone-call conversions were switched on. It looked like the same call was being counted twice, but when we checked against Google’s own call records, two of them were splitting real calls between them. Deleting either would have thrown real calls away. Whoever runs your ads should be able to show you exactly what counts as a lead, and why. A report can look excellent while the phone stays quiet.

Who owns the ad account and the website?

You should, in your own Google account, with the agency added as a user. If leaving means losing your history, that is not a service, it is a hostage situation.

What is the plan for automotive versus residential and commercial?

Anyone who quotes a single strategy for all three has not run tint before. Each one has a different ticket, a different buyer and a different search, so each gets its own page and its own budget.

What happens in the first ninety days?

Lead counting gets fixed first, so every later change is measured. Then the waste comes out, the profile and review flow get tightened, and the pages for the work you want most get built. If the first move is a bigger ad budget, ask why.

Can I leave?

We are month to month, no contract. Ask every agency that question and listen to how long the answer takes.

Our own numbers on Tint Guy LLC, published in full: cost per verified form lead went from $31.77 to $13.32 over three months, form leads from Google Ads from 17 to 42, on a budget that moved by $19. By October 2026 the shop was getting over 100 form leads a month from every source. The method and the measurement rules are in the Tint Guy LLC case study.

How we work

What working with a tint marketing agency looks like

Month one: measure

Real-lead tracking on your forms and phone, your ad account and Google profile audited, and your map grid pulled, so every later change has a before.

Months one to three: fix

The waste comes out of the ads, the profile gets accurate, and on Full Shop the website gets rebuilt around tint, PPF and ceramic coating.

Every month after: report

A plain-English report with the numbers that match your phone: leads, cost per lead, reviews, map position and what the AI assistants say about you.

Month to month, no contract. Your ad account, website and Google profile stay in your name, with us added as a user. We do not take a second tint shop within 50 miles of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where Tint Guy LLC is.

Questions

Window tint shop marketing questions

Do Google Ads work for window tint shops?

Yes, when the account counts real leads and spends on the jobs the shop wants. At Tint Guy LLC, a Ceramic Pro Elite dealer in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, cost per real form lead fell from $31.77 to $13.32 between June and August 2026, and all leads across calls and forms cost about $8.50 over 30 days, against a typical $50 to $90 for a window tint lead.

What should a window tint lead cost?

A typical window tint lead costs $50 to $90. On a well-run account it can be far lower: Tint Guy LLC paid $13.32 per real form lead in August 2026. Ask any agency what it counts as a lead before comparing numbers. We count a form that lands or a call that lasts 60 seconds, never a tap on the phone number.

How much does window tint marketing cost?

Tristar Marketing Solutions has three month-to-month packages for tint shops: Lead Engine at $1,497 a month, Full Shop at $2,497 a month (everything Tint Guy LLC gets, including a rebuilt website), and Multi-Bay at $3,997 a month. Ad spend is paid directly to Google and is not marked up.

How does a tint shop compete with the shop charging half the price?

Not on price, and not by explaining film specs to people with no frame of reference. On proof: reviews with photos, warranty terms stated plainly, the film brand you carry named properly, and a profile that looks like an established business.

Do I need separate pages for residential and commercial window film?

Yes. Those buyers search different terms, ask different questions and take longer to decide than automotive customers. One page serving a car owner and a facilities manager serves neither.

Do you work with vehicle wrap shops?

Yes. Many wrap shops also tint or install PPF, and wraps get the same treatment as any other service: a page on your site, a place on your Google Business Profile and their own number in your report. Wraps are part of the same three packages.

How does a tint shop get more commercial window film jobs?

With pages written for the people who buy it, facilities managers and office and storefront owners, and a campaign of its own. Commercial buyers search terms like commercial window tint, office window tinting and security window film, compare for days or weeks, and are worth more per job, so a click costs more: about $19 against about $6 for automotive tint in Google’s October 2026 estimates. We build those pages on Full Shop and run commercial film as its own campaign on Multi-Bay.

Do you work with window film dealers, not just install shops?

Yes. Authorized-dealer brand terms are cheaper per click and weaker in intent, so they pay only when they land on a page that answers the product question: heat rejection, warranty and installed cost.

Is email and SMS marketing worth it for a tint shop?

Yes, and few shops do it. Past customers buy new vehicles and own homes, and reaching them costs far less than buying a new customer. It only works if contact details are captured at the counter.

Do Facebook and Instagram ads work for window tint shops?

They can, when the ad shows the shop’s work instead of a price, the lead form asks one qualifying question such as the vehicle and the film wanted, and someone texts the lead back within five minutes. An ad built around a price special brings people shopping on price.

How does a window tint shop stop getting price shoppers?

Stop leading with price. Name your film brand and tiers on the site and in the ads, put your reviews where buyers read them, and get into the first three shops Google shows on the map, which is where customers who want ceramic film and windshields make their choice.

How fast should a tint shop follow up on a lead?

Within minutes, by text. At Tint Guy LLC a new website lead gets a text within 60 seconds with a link to book, and the owner can reply from his own cell phone. Booked calls get a confirmation the day before and a link to move the time.

Is Tristar a good fit if my shop only does window tint?

Yes. Tint Guy LLC started as a tint shop. The goal is the same with or without PPF and ceramic coating: more customers who want your best film and fewer calls that only ask for the cheapest price.
